Nature: “Radioactive Wolves”
Scientists track wolf and other animal populations in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. None of the articles I’d read on the disaster’s 25th anniversary gave this film’s sense of the land: the river, in spring flood with Carpathian snowmelt, stretching to ten miles wide; the European bison and re-introduced wild horses. And, oh yes, lots of adorable mewing wolf pups [watch].
